BenePhilly seeks to connect low-income Philadelphians with the benefits they deserve. At the BenePhilly Centers, applicants learn about the benefits available to them, as well as critical supports available through community-based organizations.

UESF is proud to serve as one of the City’s BenePhilly centers. As part of this effort, we provide support for enrollment in the following benefits:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Food Vouchers (PCA-Seniors)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Unemployment Insurance
  • Health insurance like CHIP, Medicaid and Medicare
  • Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for Elderly (PACE/PACENET)
  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
  • Child Care Tax Credit
  • Child Care Works
  • Woman, Infant and Children assistance (WIC)
  • State and City property tax credits, including the Homestead Exemption
  • Rent Rebates
  • Longtime Owner Occupant Program (LOOP)
  • Affordable Care Act
  • Tax Preparation
  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • PECO Customer Assistance Program (CAP)
  • PGW Customer Responsibility Program (CRP)
  • Water Revenue Assistance Program (WRAP)

All BenePhilly Centers also provide benefits screenings and referrals for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Unemployment Insurance (UI).

To be eligible, individuals and families must be any one of or a combination of the following:

  • Low income
  • Senior
  • Disabled
