Tenants’ Rights & Responsibilities
A lease is a legal contract between a landlord and a tenant.
Your landlord cannot raise rent at any time during the lease. Rent increases can only be done at the end of the lease (during lease renewal).
If you have a repair problem, your first step is to ask for the repair in writing (via certified mail), and keep a copy! If you are responsible for the repair, make the repair and notify your landlord accordingly.
